Our Vision

Our vision for the house is taken from Psalm 71:17 – 23. From this passage we believe that there are four things God is calling us to:

1) We establish the next generation in the Gospel of Jesus and the power of the spirit.

2) We equip disciples to make disciples.

3) We pursue revival.

4) We are a people that praise God at all times.

Beliefs

The Nature of God

We believe there is One God who exists in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ is God and the Son of God. He was born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, had a miraculous ministry, was crucified on the cross and rose from the dead three days later. Jesus ascended into heaven where He sits at the right hand of the Father interceding for His people. At the appointed time He will return visibly to judge the living and the dead bringing eternal life to the redeemed and eternal condemnation to the lost.

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit is God sent to convict the world of sin, indwell all believers, assure them of salvation, aid them in sanctification and empower them to be witnesses of the Gospel.

The Bible

We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and without error. It is sufficient for faith and conduct.

Humanity

We believe all humanity is created in the image of God possessing dignity and worth. The relationship between God and humanity has been broken by sin leaving all humanity in need of a Saviour.

Salvation

We believe salvation is available for those that repent and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. It cannot be earned but is a gift of God given by grace and through faith.

Gifts of the Spirit

We believe that the gifts of the Spirit have continued and are available for all believers according to the will of the Spirit for the building up of the body and to aid in evangelism.

Leadership

Paul and Oana came to Bridgend in May 2022 with a desire to see God build a church where the Word of God is faithfully preached and the ministry of the Spirit is welcome. In a town that has been known for death and suicide, they want to see a church that brings the life of Christ to the community of Bridgend, the surrounding valleys and South Wales.

Both Paul and Oana have ministry experience in the areas of worship and youth and love to see people impacted by the presence of God. Outside of ministry, they enjoy the local beaches, good coffee and the two joys of their lives, their sons, Zion and Evan.
